this morning

this morning i sat in my cozy room,
listened to ane brun,
and made holiday cards.
then it occurred to me: is giving someone {that's not your mom}
a homemade card instead of a present better or worse
than making a tax-deductable donation in someone's name
instead of a present?

Oh, tough call. But I never have to decide because I could never make a card worth giving.

Oooo tough one. I say homemade card is better. When I get those donations I'm like, "ok... that's nice..." and throw out the slip. A card will at least hang on my fridge for a few months.

If the donation is to a cause that the person strongly believes in, I'd say go with it. Or you could do both! :)
